1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to visitors, jobseekers, employer representatives and administrators using Turks & Caicos Jobs.com. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
How Turks & Caicos Jobs.com handles employer, applicant and website information.
This policy applies to visitors, jobseekers, employer representatives and administrators using Turks & Caicos Jobs.com. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
A production version may collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, security logs and cookie or local-storage identifiers. The current prototype primarily uses browser storage on the device being used.
When a jobseeker submits an application, the application information is made available to the employer associated with that advertisement. The employer becomes responsible for using that information fairly, securely and only for legitimate recruitment purposes.
Do not include passport numbers, financial details, medical records or other highly sensitive information unless a verified employer lawfully requests it at an appropriate stage.
The current site uses local and session storage to remember accounts, jobs, applications, messages and administrative access in the browser. Clearing browser data may delete this information. A production service may use essential cookies for authentication, security and preferences. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies should not be activated without any consent required by applicable law.
Depending on the context and applicable law, information may be processed to provide a requested service, perform an agreement, pursue legitimate operational and security interests, comply with legal obligations or act with consent.
A production platform may use vetted hosting, database, file-storage, authentication, analytics and transactional-email providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect users and the platform, in connection with a business reorganisation, or with the person’s direction or consent.
We do not sell applicant or employer personal information.
Technology providers may process information outside the Turks and Caicos Islands. Where applicable, reasonable contractual and technical safeguards should be used for such transfers.
Information should be kept only as long as needed for recruitment, account administration, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. Public job advertisements are scheduled for removal two days after their closing date, although an archived copy may be retained for employer renewal and platform records. Production retention periods must be finalised before launch.
We aim to use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational protections. No website or transmission method is completely secure. Users should choose strong passwords, restrict account access and share sensitive documents cautiously.
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask to access, correct or delete their information, object to certain uses, withdraw consent where relied upon, or ask questions about retention and sharing. Identity verification may be required before completing a request.
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information without appropriate authorisation.
The website links to employers, government resources and other sites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, not this one.
We may update this policy as the platform, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
Privacy questions or requests can be sent to privacy@turksandcaicosjobs.com.
Launch note: This draft must be aligned with the final hosting, database, email, analytics and retention setup and reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch.
